The Nissan LEAF has two battery options. As standard, you'll get a 40-kWh battery that boasts 147 horsepower. The upgraded battery in the Nissan LEAF is a 62-kWh battery that offers 214 horsepower. With this option, Nissan LEAF drivers can go a full 226 miles on a single charge.

Charging the Nissan LEAF

There are two types of charging stations that Nissan LEAF drivers can connect two. These are known as Level 1 and Level 2 chargers. Level 1 chargers are typically installed in residential garages and can add two to five miles of driving range for every hour of charging. Level 2 chargers are found on many commercial properties and can add as much as 10 to 25 miles of driving range per hour of charging.
